Raw Beauty Co, a unique natural beauty line has just been launched and it has been a hell of a journey. We talked to the founder of Raw Beauty Co, Aziza, and the founder and CEO of IdeaPros, Fred Cary, about what it takes to go all the way from an idea to a revolutionary product.
Slow But Steady
Aziza spent five years traveling the world to get inspired and create a one-of-a-kind brand. With IdeaPros, she has been working on making Raw Beauty Co. perfect for the past three years and we are finally here. She can hear those orders coming in and people from the industry want to work with Raw Beauty. The dream is coming true, but it hasn’t been easy. There have been some hiccups, a few nightmares, and a lot of patience.
“Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.” – Aziza
Know what your end goal is, stay focused on it, and you will see the fruits of your labor. It will feel good.
Getting Your Name Right
One of the things you might be surprised at is how long it takes to get the name, the logo, and the packaging right. It makes sense, though. It is the first thing people see. The largest part of the whole project is the product identity. With Aziza, we went through a hundred names.
“A product name is everything in business.” – Fred Cary
It establishes your identity, helps you get respect, and a reasonable price point. Don’t come up with a name that expresses what you have. Take your time to think of an evocative name and then stay consistent with the brand, the color scheme, and packaging, etc.
Staying True To Yourself
Aziza’s product is organic and natural. Frosted glass and bamboo top packaging materials create less than 10% post-consumer waste. Raw Beauty Co. is a sustainable brand working on decreasing its carbon footprint with no plastic, no chemicals, and no mass production. Its products are based in nature, with raw, cold-pressed ingredients that have an amazing effect on the skin. Aziza’s vision was to help people treat their skin and scalp issues with natural products, and every single part of her brand follows through. Staying true to yourself is what makes your business unique, so don’t make compromises when it comes to what you believe in, and you will get there.
Perfection Takes Patience
Anyone can take a product from Alibaba, give it a stupid name, and try to sell it. But if you want to build something dazzling then take your time. Be patient, have perseverance, and never give up. When you get frustrated, and you will, take it out and go on with the work. Remember, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Nothing is going to happen overnight. There will be setbacks and issues. Imagine it was a battle, and you were a gladiator. Now prepare yourself accordingly.
No Holding Back
It’s hard to be an entrepreneur. People will think you are crazy and try to hold you back. Don’t take it personally. We all have different dreams and passions. Why would you let anybody else tell you what yours should be? The journey is tough, but once you get there you will be floating like Aziza is now because she is doing what she was meant to do. No one should take that away from you.
“Everybody is meant to do something different. If you’re meant to be an entrepreneur, go do it.” – Fred Cary
